Lesson Learnt

-Relating theproject messages with Islamic injunctions motivates the Palasi people.

-Social Mobilization process takes time and requires patience in such mountain community

-Various Sectoral interventions at proper time gain the confidence of the local community

-Trainings on regular basis positively change the attitude of village activists.

-People working in such mountain communities should have enough knowledge regaeding the norms and culture of the area.

Constraints and limitations

-The society of Palas is egalitarian, it takes a lot of time in consensus building.

-Internal conflicts and enmities hinder the process of Social Mobilization.

-Shift from Relief actiities (HJP) to partnership.

-Seasonal Migration.

-Religious moment against the NGOs and Projects.

-Collective benifits have secondary importance.

-Palasi community are reluctant regarding women participation in project activities.
